Riddle me this, Batman? Why would Ohio electronic voting machines transfer voting information to a system friendly to the Republican party before sending the information off to the Ohio voting systems?
“Overall, my analysis of the two Architectures provided is the following,” he added. “They are very simple systems. They are designed for ease of use during the one of two times a year they are needed for an election. They are not designed with any security or monitoring systems for negative actions including MIM or KingPin attacks. These systems as designed would not be sufficient for any banking function, credit card function, or even or many corporate email systems needing a high degree of confidence. They are systems which will work easily, but are based on a belief all users and the system itself will be trusted not to be hacked.”
No proof of wrong doing – just proof that nobody cared to secure people’s vote.

Lately, there’s been a lot of talk about “voter fraud”. The problem is that people seem to be calling something that isn’t voter fraud – voter fraud.
You may recall that whole attorney general firing scandal, where attorney general’s of the United States were fired, but nobody could seem to remember why.
Turns out the attorney’s generals were fired for not prosecuting people for voter fraud where it didn’t exist.
Let’s make this clear – there have been stories of voter registration fraud. Mainly against groups like ACORN, which works on behalf of the poor to get them to vote and into homes.
So far, everything in the charges against ACORN has been proven to be a big todo about nothing. Voter registration fraud happens all the time. This is where somebody thinks its funny to write in “Mickey Mouse” onto a voter registration form.
I’ve signed people up to register to vote, and I have no clue whether they’re telling me the truth or not. I don’t run their ID – I just fill in the form and ask them to sign it. I am required by law at that point to turn in my papers – whether I think the person was lying or not.
Voter fraud, however, is another issue. This is where someone actually goes and votes either for another person they’re not authorized for, or attempts to vote multiple times. That is voter fraud.
And so far, there’s not a lot of evidence that there is voter fraud, let alone rampant voter fraud anywhere. So far, the charges of massive voter fraud have turned out to be baseless.
Voter caging – the process of striking people’s names from the lists to make sure they can’t vote? Evidently, that practice is very much alive and well – and has the support of government officials and may have even influenced the 2004 elections.
Voter registration fraud is a problem – but nothing to get our panties in a knot about. Voter fraud so far hasn’t reared its head as a serious issue – while voter caging certainly is.
